Fabric beads

accesorii+vintage+DIY+HowTo+Tutoriale

"Kristal was born with one hand and she has never let it it stop her from doing anything she wants to do. We love having her on the show because her attitude with jewelry making is, if she can do it, anyone can do it".
This is the top comment that I picked up on youtube channel  about this lovely lady.

This is a tutorial about how you can recycle cool fabrics, in this case to make beads, no matter cotton, silk or other texture. Watch the video and have the courage to try, you don't have anything to loose. Kristal is a wonderful teacher and I'm sure you'll enjoy the result.

How to tie a tie

The Windsor Knot is a thick, wide and triangular tie knot that projects confidence. It would therefore be your knot of choice for presentations, job interviews, courtroom appearances etc. It is best suited for spread collar shirts and it's actually quite easy to do.
While just about everyone can use this tie knot to tie his tie, it looks especially well on men with longer necks as its wide form shortens the perceived height of the neck a little bit.
To tie the Windsor Knot, select a necktie of your choice and stand in front of a mirror. Then simply follow the steps below:
DIY+HowTo+Tutoriale+arta+vestimentară
1) Start with the wide end ("W") of your necktie on the right, extending about 12 inches below the narrow end ("N") on the left.

2) Then cross the wide end over the narrow end.

3) Bring the wide end up through the loop between the collar and your tie.

4) Then bring the wide end back down.

5) Pull the wide end underneath the narrow end and to the right, back through the loop and to the right again so that the wide end is inside out.

6) Bring the wide end across the front from right to left.

7) Then pull the wide end up through the loop again.

8) Bring the wide end down through the knot in front.

9) And -- using both hands -- tighten the knot carefully and draw it up to the collar.
Congratulations, you did it! You see, it is not rocket science after all. Simply keep practicing the Windsor Knot a few more times until you can tie this necktie knot within less than two minutes. Source http://www.tie-a-tie.net/windsor.html

How to make recycled rosettes

DIY+HowTo+Tutoriale
I have got so much fabric stashed away in my little studio. Want to know the best thing about it? I hardly paid for any of it! It's amazing how much fabric you can find for free.

If you let people know that you can reuse fabrics then they'll inundate you with bag after bag of fabrics and clothes and old curtains. Particularly ask people when they're moving house if they have any fabrics they want to get rid of - You'll receive a lot of car loads of cool fabrics.

You have a warehouse of fabrics, now what? This is the moment when you'll become an artist, many times against will without knowing that you can do amazing things  with a little patience and enthusiasm.
Here is a nice tutorial about how to make rosettes from recycled T-shirts.
You need:
1) An old T-shirt
2) Hot glue gun
3) Felt
4) Embellishment( beads, brad or pearls)
5) Alligator clip.
Nothing complicated and you'll have a lot of fun learning something useful. Enjoy the video and tell me how many rosettes you made! :-)

Intreţinere haine

DIY+HowTo+Tutoriale
